I agree that you need to stay calm when you are with the police. When you are being questioned, that would be the time to tell the police that you are innocent of the crime.

I know. That is the bad thing. My supervisor said that her stalker has been bothering her for a while, but she was still told that if she did anything to him, he would get away with it. It's really crazy that he would have to attack her while she did nothing in order for her to have him arrested.

It must be really hard for cops to take criticism from people. It's a shame that when one cop goes down others will end up looking bad too. Even if they are good cops, they will still look like the bad ones too by associate.

I think the media does tend to make things worse. That may not be the intention, but that's what ends up happening. A lot of people will be influenced by the media to think a certain way about the police. They are right about some of the dirty cops, but it can make good cops look bad.

I agree with the others. It probably does depend on the misdemeanor. If you did something serious, they will most likely not want you on the force. My brother and friend didn't commit a misdemeanor so I'm not really sure if they frown upon officers having a record.

My brother and friend have kids and it's not a problem for them. They are able to spend as much time with their kids as people without kids. It's not as easy as they would like, but they are able to spend time with their kids.

We meet up and go to the movies when we can. If not, we meet to gamble and have a good time. Some of them end up broke because they gamble too much, but at least we are having fun.

The woman must have been on something to act the way she did. What on earth would possess her to act that way? The police officer handled that the way he should have. Some other cops I know would have handled it the same way or they may have been rougher depending on the night they had.

I don't think they should be arrested either. They are helping people by stopping the criminals. If they didn't hurt the criminals, they should be allowed to help the police. It's too bad vigilante groups couldn't be given the right to help out the police with the criminals.

Wow! That's a tough question. I understand if there may be certain police officers that wouldn't want to rush and risk their lives because they could get killed, but they should help one another to keep each other from possibly getting killed.

I'm sure that they have a lot of crazy stories to share. They have seen quite a bit of things while they are on the job. I have seen the show Cops and if they have a lot of crazy stories, I know the cops here have some.
