My brother gave me a copy of Insanity

If you got it for free, then you might as well try it. I wouldn't pay money for it though. Why would I pay over $100 for a workout and some dieting tips? Everything that I could ever want to know is at my fingertips with my laptop and smartphone. I can find out anything that I want to know about...

Do you take vitamins every day?

You aren't going to notice any huge differences when taking multivitamins. Just because the differences aren't physically noticeable doesn't mean that they aren't doing their job.

    Jackie Chan has ignited controversy

Seriously? Jackie Chan has done so many good things for this world. This forum isn't letting me post links, so just look up Jackie Chan on Wikipedia and click on the "philanthropy" section.

    Pepsi-flavored Cheetos

These companies have so much money that they can afford to experiment with new flavors like this. It might sound weird, but I'm sure that there will be a market for it, especially in Asia.

    What kind of supplements

Why are you against the use of supplements? If you're on a high-protein diet, it's going to be incredibly expensive to get your daily protein needs through your meals. As much as I would love to eat 65g of protein per meal, I can't afford to do that consistently. Whey protein helps me reach my...

How often are you guys working your abs?

I usually workout my abs and obliques three times per week. I have one day that I dedicate to core training and cardio, but when I do abs on my non-core days, I just do it right before I do my cooldown cardio.

What kind of fitness and weight training do you do?

You dedicate a whole day to your forearms? As a side note, I would suggest splitting up "torso" day into multiple days. Working out your biceps, triceps, pecs, abs, obliques, lats, traps, etc., all in the same day is going to burn you out. You're not going to get nearly as good of a workout...

I am very sore the following day

In addition to stretching and a hot shower, make sure to do cardio. When you do cardio, your heart pumps blood throughout your body and into your muscles. Blood carries the oxygen and nutrients that your muscles need for recovery, so doing cardio will speed up the recovery process.

    Notifications

Yeah, I'm also getting the "no new messages" thing, even when people have replied after me.

    Cop or Officer

I can't imagine addressing a police officer with "cop." That doesn't even sound right. For me, it's always "Yes, officer." If I'm just talking about a police officer, however, I'll just refer to them as cops.

    Jackie Chan has ignited controversy

It's fairly obvious that he didn't mean any harm with that statement. I think people are acting way too offended by this.

    Pepsi-flavored Cheetos

I would totally try Pepsi-flavored Cheetos. I love trying new, weird things. I bet they're delicious.

The kids keep hounding us for a dog

Yeah, you really can't go wrong with Labradors. They're gentle, playful, and excellent with children.

Wearing Sagging Pants? Pull up or pay up!

While I think that sagging pants is a stupid-looking style, I don't think that people should be arrested for it. As long as the person has underwear on, who cares? If you don't like it, don't look.

    What kind of supplements

The only two supplements I take right now are whey protein and creatine monohydrate. The whey protein helps with recovery and the creatine monohydrate gives my body more ATP. I rarely take preworkouts, but when i feel that I need one I'll just pop two 100mg caffeine pills.

Do you take vitamins every day?

I take a multivitamin every morning with breakfast. I eat quite a bit of food, but I still like to take one to make sure that I'm getting all of the vitamins that I need.

What kind of fitness and weight training do you do?

    I'm going to start running

I started running when I started working out. I would set time goals and I'd try to increase my running time each time I'd go. Start small and work your way up.

    Do you take supplements?

The problem is that it's expensive to be on a high-protein diet. It's much cheaper to supplement your diet with protein shakes, which is much cheaper than trying to get all of your protein from the food that you eat.

I am very sore the following day

I know that this is an old thread, but I figured I'd still answer it on the off chance that you're still on this site. What you're experiencing is called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), and it's perfectly normal. When you first start working out, you're going to be incredibly sore the next...
