I would pull over safely and turn on my hazard lights. Then I would sit in the car with my hands on the wheel and the window cracked. I would wait for the officer to ask to see my license and registration and calmly inform him that I am a concealed carry holder and that my weapon is hot and...
This is what happens here. There are all kinds of undercover cars and trucks, and suvs being used around here and they aren't all in dark colors either. One is a bright yellow hummer so don't be too assumptive about what undercover cop cars look like. ;)
This is certainly nothing new but it is sad, and no parent should ever assume that someone is NOT a sex offender just because of their gender. I keep close tabs on the sex offenders in our area and at nearly 50 % of them are women.
Yes, the show Cops is real. You can read more about it here. I am sure that the Cops staff have to sign many waivers and that the officers they ride with do everything they can to protect them.
I have never filed a complain, but i do know that at least here all complaints are formally investigated. If the charges are substantiated then the officer will be disciplined and possibly even relieved of his post.
I don't think that this story is even remotely amusing. People just need to be honest with each other, maybe try an open relationship instead of running around behind your spouse's wife. I know two or three people who are tracking their spouse either through their cell phones or their vehicles...
Right now I am reading this forum in between working and watching The Closer on Amazon. I am also in the middle of steaming some chicken and cauliflower for dinner when my husband gets home from work.
I am in Georgia and I know of four that are close to my area, or at least within reasonable driving distance. I am only about 50 miles south of Atlanta though so that may be why there are so many close to here. Several of the community colleges also have an associates degree program for criminal...
When an off duty officer has cause to arrest someone they do it by detaining them and calling for an on duty officer to assist. Even when they are "off the clock" they are sworn to uphold the law. If they see a crime being committed they can arrest you and they will hold you until another...
I never said that it was right Primal, just that that is what happens. I absolutely agree that millions upon millions of non-violent drug offenders should be released thus saving room for the prisoners who really need to be in there. That would also reduce a lot of the staffing concerns making...
Okay guys, here's the deal. COMMON SENSE dictates that when an officer approaches you or attempts to detain you, you not reach into your pocket to pull out ANYTHING. If an officer has told you to "stop, police" and you put your hands in your pockets they are trained to react as though it is a...
Well it is well known that rapists and child molesters do not do well in prison and that they are routinely attacked by fellow prisoners. If you are in jail mistakenly on any kind of a sexual charge you are not going to have a good time. I am not saying that this is right, it is just a fact...
Excellent question, and my answer is I have no idea. I know all of those places still have criminals that can find a way to get their hands on firearms. I don't know how they control people without having a method of lethal force available to them.
Yeah, I am sure they had a busy night last night and likely tonight too since it is a holiday. You will probably see them out in full force until Monday, because a lot of people don't have to go back to work until then. I am all for people having a good time, but be responsible about it.
Document everything you can. Video or tape record the neighbors when they are screaming and pounding on the walls. I am assuming you are in an apartment or duplex and have a landlord who may be able to help you with this situation. I am sorry that you and your family are going through this right...
There are organizations for law enforcement officers that support the legalization of marijuana. The names of them escape me right now, but when I remember I will post them here. I know many officers who support full legalization of marijuana.
I think that friends in the academy would be a good thing. Those are certainly the people who are going to most understand what it is that you are going through and are trying to accomplish. You are all going to graduate as rookies so there isn't an opportunity for someone else to sabotage a career.
As someone who carries a gun daily I would think that it would be pretty difficult to mistake a phone for a gun. The only time this could possibly be an issue would be in the dark. I don't think that this is something that happens on a daily basis or anything though.
I do have my doubts about...
There is definitely an increase in police activity here. My husband had a doctor's appointment one town over yesterday and I think we saw about 30 different law enforcement officers from various agencies on the way back. My husband just got in from work and he said there out in full force.
I am sure that it does happen on occasion, but I don't think that it is something that happens on a regular basis. At least not here in the US, I know there are other countries where it might be a whole lot more likely for this to happen.
